The Commonwealth of Micronations (COM) was established on the 20th of March, 2002 by the Caliphate of Brazil, the Commonwealth of Nova Sparta, the Cordial Kingdom of Kelterspruf, the Principality of Sofia and the United Kingdom of Sayed as the successor organisation of the United Virtual Micronations.

The COM seeks to further development and strengthening of relations of friendship, good neighborhood, intermicronational harmony, trust, mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation between micronations by acting in accordance with generally accepted principles and norms of intermicronational law, striving to secure through joint efforts the social progress of its member states, developing cooperation between each other in order to ensure intermicronational peace and security, desiring to establish conditions for the preservation and development of the cultures of all the peoples of the member states and striving to improve the mechanisms for cooperation in this association.

Membership to the COM is open to all entities and communities that recognise themselves as micronations and agree to the Charter of the Commonwealth of Micronations. To find out more about how your micronation can join the COM, go to the Admission section of this website for details.
